SimpleDiagrams 5.0.1 (build 20)

Customize where connectors attach to an individual shape. Choose Edit Connection Points from the Edit menu or the shape's context menu, or press Command-Option-E. Move, add, or delete points within the shape's bounds; attached connectors follow moved points. Undo reverses each change, and Done, Escape, or a double-click outside finishes editing. Adding on an existing point selects it instead of creating a duplicate.
Shape libraries can now carry short descriptions of each shape. Descriptions stay with the library when you import, edit, copy, or export it. Displaying them in a Shape Info window is planned for a later update.

Help now has a View Online Documentation button that opens the guide in your browser. The Help menu opens Release Notes in your browser and distinguishes Your License Information from SimpleDiagrams Licenses.
Importing a library made for a newer version now explains that you need to update SimpleDiagrams before trying again.
Improved SVG parser: more artwork now imports successfully. Unsupported visual effects are left out while the underlying drawing is preserved. SVGs with unsupported styling can also be converted when usable editable paths remain. Converted drawings with a light background keep their outlines visible.

Escape now clears selected items on the canvas when no edit or operation is active.

Initial SimpleDiagrams 5 release for Mac, with a native macOS editor, reusable shape libraries, multipage documents, legacy import, and PNG, SVG, and PDF export.
