SimpleDiagrams: Back at the Drawing Board
Yes, SimpleD is back in your life. It's for the better.
Hmm. It’s been a while.
I've been busy making stuff for people. What began as a detour into consulting turned into a long voyage. There were interesting projects, good fun, and unfortunately more time away from SimpleDiagrams than I’d intended. I gave up on SimpleD, but I shouldn't have.
But now I'm back. Yes, Indeed. Working on a new native macOS version of SimpleDiagrams.
It's still the same stupid simple idea: a friendly place to sketch out a process, explain a system, or get a half-formed thought out of your head and onto the screen. Something with a little personality, where making a diagram feels more like drawing than filling out a form.
My thinking is that making visual representations of thoughts, systems, strategies, architectures and so on can really help you solidify your thinking. Don't let AI take this activity from you.
I'll do my part by trying to make the process as quick and easy as possible...minimal resistance when moving the thing in your head to the things on paper (eh...screen). To be honest, that's kind of why I've switched to focusing on a native MacOS desktop app rather than the god-forsaken-never-again-cross-platform experience I had publishing the earlier versions of SimpleD. I want the UI to be top-notch responsive.
So this is a fresh start, but with the spirit of the original guiding the work. There’s plenty still to do, and I’ll share progress here as it takes shape.
