Free HVAC Diagram Symbols for Quick System Sketches
I’ve added a free HVAC shape library to SimpleDiagrams. It is designed for quickly sketching HVAC, air-handling, ventilation, and ductwork ideas....the kind of thing you might need before detailed engineering documentation or CAD work begins.

This library is deliberately a starting point, not a replacement for construction drawings, detailed HVAC design, or CAD. Use it to sketch a rough system, discuss an approach with a client or colleague, or give a team a shared picture before moving into the detail work.
Make HVAC diagrams easier to read with custom connection points
HVAC equipment symbols do not always have a convenient shape. Sometimes the default connection points are not where you need a duct, pipe, or flow connector to begin. In SimpleDiagrams, you can move, add, or remove a shape’s connection points so a rough HVAC system diagram reads clearly.
First, select a shape and hold Alt to reveal its connection points. Normally, you can drag from one of these points to create a connector to another shape.
But in this case, the points aren't really where you want them. No problem. Just right-click the shape to show the context menu...
SimpleDiagrams then enters connection-point editing mode. You can add, remove, or move points to suit the way you want to show equipment, airflow, ductwork, or other system connections.
Below, you can see that I'm adding one new connection point ...
Click Done, or double-click outside the shape’s bounding box. Your custom connection point is ready to use.
